LG Futures will be undertaking a benchmarking exercise against other unitary councils, analysing the current ‘shape’ of the budget against other similar authorities who have been unitary councils for a number of years. Recommendations about the key strategic issues that will affect the new unitary’s medium term financial plan will also be made, in addition to how Wiltshire could develop its forward-looking budget process.
